Textbook Rentals
TEXTBOOKS AVAILABLE TO RENT CAN BE VIEWED
WITHIN THE “BUY TEXTBOOKS” OPTION
Many textbooks are offered on our rental program.
Both new and used textbooks are available to rent.
When you look up your textbook requirements on-line for each class, if
the book is available to rent, it will have a separate line with new and used
rental prices, and also a line with new and used purchase prices.
All rental books will need to be returned
no later than the Friday of Finals Week by 4:00 p.m. If the books are not
returned by that time in addition to the rental fee paid, a penalty of 50% of a
new textbook plus a $25.00 service fee will be charged to the student’s credit
card. A complete Textbook Rental Agreement is printed below for your
convenience.
TEXTBOOK RENTAL AGREEMENT
1.
I am a
current Wartburg student.
2.
Book(s) will be returned by the Friday following the last day of finals of the
term in which the book(s) was rented.
3.
When books are returned they must be in
resalable condition as defined by Wartburg Bookstore personnel.
4.
Book(s) will be returned with limited writing,
highlighting, notes etc—not more than 10% markings.
They will not be damaged by water or other liquids.
Books will not have missing or torn pages or covers.
CDs and DVDs must be returned with the book and cannot be broken.
5.
Last day to return rental book(s) and receive
a refund for the rental fee is the same as books purchased.
Your rental receipt and ID are needed.
The rental price for any book rented after the refund date is
non-refundable.
6.
Either a MC or Visa credit card will remain on
file in the Bookstore for the purpose of charging any penalties if the book(s)
is not returned by the stated deadline.
7.
Penalty for each book not returned, in
addition to the rental price, will be 50% of the new retail price of that book
plus a $25.00 service fee.
8.
The penalty will be assessed on Friday
following the last day of finals at 4:30 p.m.
9.
There is no recourse to the penalty once it
has been charged to MC/Visa.
